The events over a lifetime for LGBT persons become more complicated due to the myths, misinformation, homophobia, and heterosexism.


The ability to access community and supportive resources is critical in meeting the needs of any client. The lack of national resources can greatly influence local organizations.

Welcome -

More than two years ago, we set out to create a Knowledge Community (KC) that addresses the needs of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) people across their lifespan.  As educators, researchers, and practitioners, information and resources were minimal and lacked critical cultural competencies and ignored intersecting identities.

The Zebra Coalition® is a network of organizations which provide services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and all youth (LGBT+) ages 13 – 24. The Coalition assists young people facing homelessness; bullying; physical, sexual and drug abuse; and isolation from their families with individualized programs to guide them to recovery and stability.
